Cute! But actually that could be a Castello Searock. Notice the black carved finish and the shine of the stem. Lou Costello passed in 1959 and at that time, as far as I know, Castello only imported Searock finished pipes to the U.S.. And again, as far as I know, they were the only ones using a Lucite stem. Any vulcanite stem would not hold it's shine very long and from what I can see of the rim of the bowl, this pipe has been smoked for a while. Therefore, I suspect it might indeed be a Castello. Besides, Lou could afford any pipe he wanted and it would have cost a whole $25, plus the name might have appealed to him.
