The Legend. This one is going on 10 years old now. Ive repaired the cracks with wood putty multiple times, and this thing has been rode hard and put away wet many times.

And a comparison to a new one I had, but stupidly gave away.

I'd be more sad if I lost this cob than any other of my pipes. Many Memories with it.

I too have an approaching 10 yr old Legend. It got me started! I still smoke it often. I also smoke a couple of MM cob seconds that I got that first year that are still hanging in there. One, likely my favorite is a Pride. Its natural cob texture is now almost smooth where I grasp it. Also, a Morgan. I smoke both a normal Morgan and the 2nd, which is smaller, on a regular basis.

My favorite is my modified Legend. It has a charred and sanded bowl with French whipping on the strummel, a hardwood plug in the bottom of the bowl, and a bent forever stem. I also have a MM Freehand and a MM Country Gentleman, both with forever stems and various other MM cobs kicking around. Here is my Legend.

The Eaton. The .6 diameter bowl is perfect for the tobacco I smoke. I think it smokes ever so slightly better than the pony express (though I love that one too)because it is natural, with no varnish. I’ve been smoking my Eaton regularly for over five years. I get a 45 minute smoke out of it, unless the wind is up. I take mine traveling, including motorcycle camping across the country . No matter how wet the weather , it smokes dry, down to the bottom. I only wish mm would use the natural version of this bowl on other pipes—like the Tom Sawyer

Apparently my Charlestown Cobblers, or whatever the hell they're called. I tend to smoke them more than others. Close second, would be the Diplomat Fifth Avenue bent, based on esthetics. I prefer the parallel sides of the latter, rather than the barrel shape.
In full agreement on the Charlestowne Cobbler, I simply have not purchased one, yet! The Emerald is nice, too but I can't get both.
