Having An Attack Of Shingles…

Shingles can get really bad. A friend had it so bad that it attacked the nerves in his legs loosing his ability to walk on his on. He ended up having to use a walker and then going to physical therapy for months to gradually recover his ability to walk unassisted. Needless to say I got the vaccine after witnessing his experience!

The good news is that this attack has run its course (knock on wood). The lesions are healed and the intense pain is gone. I still have some topical soreness in my skin; apparently that could last a long time, but it’s tolerable and nothing like the throbbing nerve pain.

My wife has shingles right now. It broke out in a few patches on her neck. No pain to speak of unless its touched. It did cause indigestion . I got the shingles vaccine after she was diagnosed. Like the COVID vaccine, I had flu like symptome the next day
