Afternoon all! I am considering buying some never-smoked pipes from an online seller. Now, I will do my own research, but this forum is always helpful so I thought I'd ask here too. Can you help me evaluate these based on brand alone? Just looking for broad strokes advice here. They are:
Hickok
Briarlee
Kaywoodie
Fire Thorn (?)

Cheers!

The other three may be sub-brands I don't know, but I can recommend Kaywoodie which are available all the way from about $33 on up, including some hand made pipes in the $250 range. The less expensive ones, like the Saxon, are still good pipes and won't disappoint you. The best selection I've found online is at the West Virginia Smoke Shop. Though they don't have all of the series they list, they have something in many series, and they also sell other U.S. factory pipes like Yello-Bole, Medico, and Dr. Grabow, all at moderate prices. Let us know what you eventually buy.
