I keep herring about this issue but have yet to sea it. Does the tin only smell when you fin-ish it?

Amines (trimethylamine to be specific) are what cause the fishy odour in canola fed eggs as well.Amines are compounds derived from ammonia that are found in tobacco. They can produce fishy or ammonia smells on curing leaves.
