I just bought my first estate pipe, a Comoy at the tobacco store in town The style number is 594 and it also carries the name Blazon. I have loaded it with Cornell & Diehl Green River Vanilla and find the combination to be pleasant, fragrant, and mild.
I just started takino this stuff more seriously. I have a couple of Peterson’s, Savinellis, Meerschaums, and an old GBD (I’m not sure where that one came from, maybe my father’s).

Any information on this particular pipe would be appreciated. Sorry for the quality of the photos. I took them with my iPad. I think you can enlarge them.

Must be the week for Comoy’s. I just received a Thames 337.
Lovely looking pipe. Can’t offer any help I’m sorry to say.
Although a pointer to help dating Comoy’s would be of interest to me too. ?

Glad to see this post as I just last week obtained my first estate pipe and am loving it. My fear is that I will keep wanting to find more..

Beautiful grain on that pipe OP. I hope you find the info and most importantly enjoy your new pipe!

I believe Blazon would be a Cadogan era pipe, post 1981 (with a stamped C stem logo). A close up of the stem logo would confirm.

Not a legit fear.

I started a pipe habit last fall with 11 my father gave me that hadn’t been smoked in 40+ years.
Since cleaning them up, I’ve only acquired 5 Kaywoodies, 4 Lee’s, a Briarlee, a Mastercraft, a Marxman, 2 meers, and lost probably a dozen auctions.

Actually Al it’s a bit earlier. The Blazon is listed in the Comoy’s section of the 1974, ‘75 and 76’ RTDA Almanacs. My run is incomplete but as far as I can tell it’s a mid-1970s model and was priced the same as the Guildhall.
