Went and saw the Mariachis Los Compares and I can't say enough good things about them. They had twelve tenors and four young dancers (say 20-25) and they could really get after it. The instruments were six violins, two trumpets, one harp, one fat guitar, and two small guitars. They did most of the show in Spanish but did a few Xmas carols in standard English. Couldn't complain about the choice of languages as I was sitting in a sea of sombreros. Probably a fourth of the audience was a gringo like me. All twelve of the men good sing their butts off. A great night of music.
