I received this email from MM today:

The newest release for our 155th Anniversary Year
#2 Release 155th Special Edition Set

What makes these pipes so special you ask? Each pipe in the set has a genuine, antique bone bit that was most likely made in our bone products factory.​

I underlined the “most likely” part. That seemed odd to me. Why don’t they know where these things came from? That seem odd to anyone else? I don’t intend to throw shade at MM. They are a great company that is always supporting our hobby and shows and B&Ms. The phrasing just seemed peculiar to me. I apologize if this has been discussed elsewhere. I did a search and didn’t find it.

Seems they used to do bone work and most likely found a box in storage some place and can't be sure if they were actually made there, at least they are honest.

Pay now and get it in September when they are released. =/

... Given the way things are going ... I'll stick with (Not Really) Forever Stems ... the recycling gives me pause ...
