Found this carved pipe on eBay. It had the name Albert E. Key over Boston on the bottom of it. I really liked the carving and decided I’d better make it mine. I didn’t and don’t have any intentions on smoking out of this pipe. Just thought the fella was kinda cool. After I received it I decided to investigate the name a little more and found a violin maker who live in Boston in the 30’s and 40’s who went by the same name. I believe that he is the maker of this pipe, though I have not been able to find anything of historical value to prove this. I thought the pipe was carved rather well. At least by someone who wasn’t a stranger to carving wood anyhow. He will stay with me until I die I guess, then someone else can try and figure him out! Hope you all enjoy the picks of the Briar Friar.
