hi Fellas
One day a friend contacted me, saying that he just send quite amount of money of which I lent him several years ago(of which I totally forgot about...)
The timing couldnt be better as I am having a Stanwell-related PAD fever.

So, quick browsing around, consulting the perfect remedy, found this beauty

The finish is quite similar to the 2000 and 2002-issues:

I believe in 2000 there were two different POY's, the other one being a heavily blasted full-bent with silver fittings

@dukdalf : thank you for the gorgeous pics...just letting you know that my Stanwell related fever is back because of you !!!
Anyway, updating my post a bit. The pipe smokes amazing as it really brings out the character of Macbaren HH Vintage Syrian (my current fave baccy) - more than any of my pipes!.
I am so very happy with this pipe, which also leads me to ponder : what are the significance of Pipe Year series ?
As a newbie, I'd spent numerous hours scouring the net over pipes and I noticed that many pipes release their own "Pipe of the Year" or "Pipe Year".
So, would this "Pipe Year" editions made out of special/selected briars? carved by famous ones ? issued in limited series ?
Thanks :)
