Pale or natural stained pipes

I’ve always been interested in buying a pipe with light or no stain at all and very curious to see how dark they change over time. Does anyone have some pics they could post and maybe say how many years of smoking are on it? Thanks.

I bought a nice churchwarden from McQueen pipess with just a thin layer of beeswax for this very reason and love it ! Only used it a few times because most of my pipe smoking is done on the move but it's a cool concept to let it age and gain a "natural" finish!

All Peterson natural finish. They age different. Some like the color change, some don't.

Jose Rubio before and after around 300 bowls. The before isn't brand new, it was lighter. But the after shows how much it has colored.

Currently smoking hell out of a Morgan Bones brandy, but it hasn't colored much yet. I do have a patina fetish and always liked the pipes Peretti often uses in their ads. Don't know if this qualifies as an example of either coloring or patina, but I do like the look. (Old ad, not current.)

Most of that darkening is smoke and finger grease. If you like the look, rock on, and if not, it can be cleaned away.
