I'm talking specifically about the mouthpiece on Peterson's standard and premier army style system pipes, they are narrower but thicker than most other pipes', as well as being more rounded. I just find them not quite as comfortable to clench as say, my Peterson deluxe pipe; also I can't clench it as firmly as the others. I have the habit of putting on a small rubber bit on my stem to help avoid bite marks, and this just made the already thick stem all the more thicker. Am I the only person who have problems with this?
