I thought this would be a bit of fun. Decades ago many films were made with actors smoking pipes and occasionally they did some product placement as well, showing the tin of pipe tobacco. In 1976, Dustin Hoffman starred opposite Lawrence Olivier in the movie Marathon man. There is a scene where you can see what Olivier's character, Christian Szell, likes to smoke. If you don't recall or aren't familiar with the movie, watch it and see if you can spot it. Its free to stream on youtube.

Lets see who figures it out first. What does Szell like to smoke?

It is near the end of the movie, in the scene on the metal stairs in the water treatment facility. Sjell opens up his briefcase and there, nestled among all of the loose, stolen diamonds is one of those unmistakable rectangular tins that Samuel Gawith uses now.

So often when I see characters smoking pipes in films from the 30s, 40s, 50s, sometimes the 60s, I wonder, what are they smoking? But I never or almost never see a label
