Anything that will completely hold the folded flake. Don't like flake sticking out. Usually fold then roll. Used to trim and use that for tinder, but I think @hoosierpipeguy mentioned on other post about roughing up the folded flake by bending it. Do that few times and I get plenty of tinder and loosen up the folded flake for better burn.

Good question. Lemme try it...........Yep, and it turns out that I like being lit up a little bit.

My best solution to being lit up was smoking Dark Flake. I daresay I lit up near 5000 times. "Gives a licking that keeps on ticking."

Never made a difference to me, but I do smoke so slowly that you rarely see the smoke.

Thank you for sharing your experience. If I’m honest, before this thread/forum I spent very little time analyzing smoking a pipe.
