The Latest from eBay - International COVID Shipping Restrictions

I thought I'd let everyone know the latest from eBay. As some of you know there have been restrictions on shipping from USA to countries abroad pretty much without advance warning. Options for shipping via USPS to, say, Australia just disappear and a service interruption notice appears like this one.

This is all well except if your buyer has paid a certain price for shipping, you'll be forced to pay out-of-pocket to use the invariably more expensive means of shipping that remain at your disposal, or let the buyer know they'll have to pay the difference. This is due to the fact you're being forced to use eBay's (more expensive) shipping program or having to use USPS Priority "Express" rather than the less-expensive USPS Priority (which has *poof* disappeared overnight).

Take heed if you're an eBay seller and plan accordingly.

If you’re shipping a pipe, don’t use eBay’s global shipping option. You will most likely lose the item, only to see it relisted for twice the price in a month or two.

Also, USPS first class service has been resumed for some countries (or at least for NZ) while the priority option is still suspended
