I made something that might interest you!

Weeks ago, I tried the Maxpedition 'Fatty' organizer for bring my pipes and tools for traveling, and though that even if it's practical, I don't feel it's protecting the pipes that much. I'm a crafty guy so I decided to build something sturdy, in wood, that would secure the pipes properly, and that could hold all the items and tools that I use the most often. Surprisingly, it's not a lot bigger than the Maxpedition Fatty. My box, closed, is 5 ½" x 10 ¼ ", with a height of 4 ¼".

So, here it is, the Tobacco Pipe Travel Box:

And here are the final versions of the blueprints that I made in Photoshop prior to the built:

Is really cool and gorgeous work but i would never lug that anywhere.
Thanks! It's very sturdy. If I drop it, that would resist pretty much anything. Also, it's made with a rustic/imperfect look. If it gets 'damaged' along the way, it'll only add more personality. Also, when I travel, it's to visit my family for 2-3 days. It's in my luggage most of the time.

When I bring my pipe at work, I use a simple roll with a pipe, a zippo, a tamper and a tiny tobacco tin. That's it.
