I am listening to something that is a little off the beaten path for me: "Mariachi from Mexico" is a fine rendition of this classic music from the Mexican Mariachi Band under the direction of Lopez Varanga. I got interested in this when my wife, who is Mexican, brought it home one day. I found it to be superb, I don't care for modern Mexican music but traditional Mariachi I like. She ended taking me up the local Juco to listen to some mariachi. So here was I sitting amongst 1500 Mexicans and the guy who was leading the band asks if they wanted to hear him do the introductions in Spanish or English. Being the only person in the audience who preferred English I was outvoted. Still, I had a wonderful time. I must admit it was great seeing a band dressed to the nines rather than some rock outfit who wore whatever they slept in.

Here's the last bit of Mexican music I will play for you. It's titled "Tres Voces en El Cielo". It is the voices of the great Mexican singer after they died. They are Javier Solis, Pedro Infante, and Jorge Negrete. Very enjoyable.
