That is one freaking cool piece of briar.

Like most early Ropp pipes, it’s actually made from Cherry. Regardless, it’s a fun, gnarly, hunk of wood and smokes wonderfully. I’ve become partial to smoking my bigger pipes when I watch UFC these days. With the Prelims and Main Card, I’m usually looking at close to six hours of watching fights. The less loading of a pipe chamber I have to do, the less time I spend looking away from the screen—with this sport, if you blink, you can miss something dramatic and spectacular very easily. So, bigger pipes like this, the 26" Ropp (also from the Bussang workshop) and my BST LC are ideal because the Ropps provide three hour smokes and the BST four plus.

Had a little clay of each of these. Just try to revisit. Honestly my dislike for these were from my bad technique. Probably won't be in heavy rotation though. I still do prefer a good VaPer or English.

I’ve tried the French vanilla one before not bad but they are wayyyyy better tobaccos imo
