Yet another tamper.

This one like the others was painstakingly shaped by hand but unlike the others this one is made of maple.

I think it came out quite nicely. Next time I'm going to have to try staining. Maybe I'll even try out some amber shellac next time.

After working with oak for so long maple was quite a treat! With a nice sharp plane and chisel it's like shaping clay compared to white oak.

Oh yes she's a sweetie. An Ibanez DT-200 'Destroyer', amber top hat knobs, kill switch added, pickups switched out, mahogany body, maple neck, and a rosewood fretbooard. If there was an emoticon that would sigh and gaze lovingly I would use it.
