Charatan Clean Up…

Got a Charatan sandblast 481 DC, didn’t need much work.

It’s raining outside, so it’s a good day to do some work in the shop.

Sanded and coated the chamber. Scrubbed the outside and waxed. Buffed it up with shoe brush.

Buffed, polished and waxed the stem.

I don’t know. The pipe may sit for years before I get around to it.

Added. Gold lacquer stick. It’s like a big China marker. I happen to like the way it looks. Big Pimpin’

What kind of wax did you use? You got a nice shine with whatever it was and just a shoe brush.

On all my sandblast and rusticated pipes I use Halcyon II wax. I apply it using a small paintbrush. It can get in the nooks and crannies. Wait about 1/2 hour then buff with shoe brush. Then once it’s had time to thoroughly dry buff some more…

I was afraid you were going to say you use Halcyon II. I wish I had bought some when it was readily available. I’ve been using Renaissance but I don’t think it works as well as Halcyon.
