Anyone dislike billiards? If so why? is there a perfect billiard, say due to weight and length vs not?

Nope. I fall in line with the majority having billiards one of my favorite shapes. But there is a discrepancy between a billiard just trotted out pro forma, and one designed with proportion, balance, and flow of design. A well-turned billiard looks in motion. I tend to favor the slightly smaller ones, lithe and easy to clench, though I have one or two heftier ones that I also enjoy.
I prefer straight pool, then Cowboy, then nine ball, then eight ball.
But sure, some will dislike the billiard shape. Why do you ask?

I prefer straight billiards. To me they're just so nostalgic (1950's).

Straight billiards seem to be my favorite these days. Simple and classic.

My preference in pipes has always been the Billiard. My second choice would be the Apple.
I've never met anyone that didn't like a Billiard in some form! If I could just cheat and put "Billiard" in my top 5, it technically covers Oom Paul, Lumberman, Lovat....I love all kinds of Billiards.
Peterson 106 is one of my favorites. Straight billiard. But do enjoy bent billiards also.
Not really a favorite, I guess the closest I get would be an egg but prefer freehand designs.

I am a sucker for bent pipes. Including bent billards. But do I hate straight pipes, not all their just not as nifty to my eye as a bent. Also to my hand they don't feel right as in they don't feel perfect like bents or Canadians or churchwardens.
I would have said that I detest the shape, too humdrum. But, I’ve picked up several with bamboo shanks, which makes it a tad more interesting than those damned, Father Knows Best, square, missionary position pipes.
Not generally my favorite shape, but I’ve seen some that are real masterpieces that I’d smoke in a heartbeat.
+1 @anotherbob I'm quite fond of bent billiards. It's the first shape I fell in love with when I started out. I only like bent stems though; I just never liked straight stems, no matter the design. Some people dismiss the billiard as being too simple, but sometimes simple is better in my opinion.
Almost all of my pipes are billiards. Before I even knew the shapes I had bought a few billiards over other designs. I guess I like the classic K.I.S.S. pipes lol.
I should clarify that I thought the thread was about straight billiards. I like bent billiards quite a bit. Most of my briar pipes would be classified as bent billiards. The chunky Savinelli 616 being my favorite take in the shape.
I don't care for billiards a lot and most of it is because carvers can't/won't carve them. In contest to determine who made the best billiard there were exactly 57 entries and only 4 true billiards amongst them.
