Hi All - from a far distant land of the east. middle age now, start a bit late on pipes though i started smoking cigarettes, occasionally, when i was 6, in 1980...all the way up to now, with cigs, shag, some cigar occasionally, but generally a heavy smoker.
i started reading and studying and buying pipe and pipe fuel (tobacco) around november 2023 so a relative rookie. hope i can contribute and have fun on the forum

I could easily be persuaded to move to Indonesia based on the time I’ve spent there. I will also say after 30 hours of flights I’d rather stay than endure flying back as well

hi bill..i have several basket case tobacco. not many selection here in indonesia, but it is adding up for sure
C&D virginia gentleman
C&D sunbear mountain flower
SG plum cake, best brown flake & bobs' chocolate & ennerflake
ashton artisan (i usually use this as a mix to virginias)
a daily blend from a friend, i believe virginia and some sutliff

mostly virginian-based but am trying some english blends.
a typical C&D 2oz tin would cost $20-30 here so not necessarily cheap.

300million people scattered in 17,000 islands, what is not to like..we have relative sun all year long, people are generally pleasant, and you should never feel lonely. lots of humans here.

Im more of an Italian pipe fan though I have a few French pipes. Im also not French. I lived most my life in the US. My wife is French so we decided to retire here.

of the italians, i got 2 lorenzos, a tom spanu, and a non canta la raganella. i think france is a beautiful country, from what i remember in late 1990s. not sure of now

It probably has not changed that much. Other than life in cites France is very rural. Change comes slowly.
