It is definitely not OGS.
I found it fresh and fruity with a slight peppery lat taste on the 2nd half of the bowl. It's not OGS if you like OGS for it's simple nuances this is not that.

It is was real good though!

Orlik Golden Sliced, that’s all this is. No more, no less. Mediocrity in a tin! I shall pass.
I've never sampled any Orlik and am curious. I may invest in a tin of ordinary and of aged; it may result in buyer's remorse but that will pass. Does it compare to, say, Deluxe Navy Rolls?

Not really, apart from the fact they're both made in Denmark and come in a round tin. Other than that, chalk and cheese.

I've just had my first ever bowl of Orlik Golden Sliced. Verdict: it's ok, quite enjoyed it. But let's lay the Perique myth to rest; SGL might like us to think it's there, but in reality, it's the Burley component impregnated with the light orange/citrus flavouring. In my humble opinion, naturally ;-)

I think it's a great subtle and highly enjoyable tobacco. Especially compared to the dark stuff I usually smoke.

Ok, my jury is in. Smoked original and Vintage back to back. The Vintage has a broader, fuller, deeper flavour while the citrus isn't diminished as such, it merely has some competition. I like it better, I have to say, more satisfying than Original and I may have to buy a couple of more tins of this for the cellar.

That still ain't real Perique, though. Maybe "manufactured" Perique, which was apparently added to real Perique in the old Three Nuns, but this doesn't know where Louisiana is, imho.
