Wanting a Small Chambered Pipe: Recommendations?

Cob, basket pipe, and Peterson junior line are all smaller with a variety of prices. Same with some meerschaum pipes.

My small basket pipe is great for.shorter smokes and stronger blends.

Peterson Barrel is a lovely small Pipe, not to expensive as well.

Most retailers have search engines that allow you to look for pipes with small bowls
They are not difficult to come by

This is a Group 1 Dunhill


A small Prince of Wales


A couple of nose warmers


These 2 Danish Dublins/horns have small chambers



A trio of Operas - for short smokes during the interval



It’s not just the size of the chamber.
The cut of tobacco will also affect the duration of your smoke.
Shag and ribbon cuts burn faster and will give a shorter smoke.

Ropp pipes are pretty great. I have a j03 and a j22 for quick smokes. Very small bowls and comfortable buttons/stems for clenching.

I also really do like my Peterson Short Army. Great little pipe! Poul Winslow Crown pipes tend to be on the small Side as well.

Peterson 317 system standard.

The 317 is the smallest bowl and the 313 is just a hair deeper at #2. I love my 313 Rusticated which is, oddly, just a touch lighter than the 317 with the same finish. The 313 with a ribbon cut smokes in about 20 minutes. Lovely little pipe.

BTW: all of the Peterson Army mounts are the exact same size and the stems perfectly interchangeable.

Many of the Dr. Grabow and Medico pipes I've seen are quite small. I have a bent, very small Starfire Continental 42 that can barely fit the tip of my (entirely average) pinky finger, and I've seen billiards the same size. The "SLIM" size of any straight pipe on the Dr. Grabow shape chart will be quite dainty but still fit a 6mm filter.

Savinelli 506 is my favorite smallish pipe. The Antica line is pretty nice.

I like squat bulldogs and princes partly because the chamber depth is generally pretty reasonable. The (Savinelli) Rossi Piccolo and Peterson Junior versions of these pipes scale everything down a little from there.

MM Morgan or Eaton will set you back $10 or so, we’ll worth giving cobs a shot, you may be surprised.
They’re great “carry around” pipes you never have to worry about.
