Close to finishing this bowl from a first production tin (2013) of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

Took the day off work, so did my wife. Had a nice day in Tampa, great lunch at Rocco’s Tacos with a few margaritas and then when kiddos got out of school, packed up for a quick weekender in Sarasota.

The pipe: MM Charlestowne Cobbler
The beverage: Glenfidich 12 Single Malt
The blend: 3 year aged tin of Maltese Falcon I got off of @hoosierpipeguy. Being a newer pipe smoker with fresh lots of MF, this is quite an experience.
Three years smooths out any small edges the blend may have had. A nice birthday treat.

Smoking some sir Walter regular in my straight MM Emerald Cob. I have quite a few of their pipes but this shape is by far my favorite. I had another one and ended up breaking it, but now have another one in the mail, now along with a Carolina gent. If all I had to smoke for the rest of my life were emerald cobs and sir Walter regular tubs I certainly wouldn’t be unhappy.

Just about to enjoy some more time at the counter this weekend working on some spring plans for me and my sweetie that will include celebrating our 34th Anniversary. Made some mochas early a.m. because she likes them, now coffee just for me. Will be trying some Newminster No. 400 Superior Navy Flake in my Nording Hunter Series 2020 Cheetah (I love my Peterson pipes, but have three Nordings I really like as well and this one so far is the favorite of those, nice and chunky!).

My wife and I went out with another couple last night and had a little to much fun. Late start today to pipe smoking. I went antique shopping first and found a couple great pieces. Couple velvet tobacco cans, unsmoked clay pipe for $6, and a WW2 national briar co New Jersey pipe to restore. F5762BE6-7E35-4337-ABDF-7A061E6295A6.jpeg
