    I'm Losing my Mind

Well said. It brings a bit of joy (especially when shared with friends). In the grand scheme of things, overpaying for tobacco is not going to be a footnote in my epitaph. "He was a good man and lived a good life...but he spent too much money on fine tobacco!"

    I'm Losing my Mind

Mind is now edited! Hope you find it in good shape! I think I'm losing my mind and I blame Germain's. I don't want to like these unicorn tobaccos. It all started with an innocent purchase from the Sell/Swap/Search. It was basically a Virginia sampler that had a number of popular examples...

    Blends Like C&D Black Frigate?

Is this a good time to ask if I can come aboard the Black Frigate!

    Blends Like C&D Black Frigate?

haha...if it is any consolation I only buy Black Frigate for this type of tobacco. I just had a tin of that unmentionable stuff and my unrefined palate thought it similar. I will chain it to a cannon ball and send her to a deep watery grave.

    Blends Like C&D Black Frigate?

I found SPC Mississippi River Rum Barrel Aged to be similar.

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

Lol. It is actually Graham Chapman sans Monty Python. I loved the picture when I found it and I have English heritage, love Brit pipes and it turns out most of my favorite tobaccos are UK made...and damn hard to get at times. Post a pic of your living room. Sounds really cool.

What Has Happened to Samuel Gawith Blends?

Interesting info. Happy to be educated on this. So does BBF and/or SJF have a true GH counterpart then?

    The Obligatory Newbie Thread: Dunhill

The caption of this forum section: There’s no such thing as a dumb question. This is the friendliest and most pleasant pipe forum in the world. Ask away! So true except DO NOT ask about the quality or value of Dunhill (and probably p-lip Pete's for that matter). Where is the OP of this...

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

Just got in 15 tins of Sam Gawith Best Brown Flake and a 1.5lb box of Luxury Bullseye Flake. My wife says I have more tobacco already than I can ever smoke. I aim to prove her wrong by smoking more or living longer.

How do You Decide on New Pipe Purchases?

Dunhill. I love the F/T bit and shell briar and ease in targeting sizes I want with group number and how they feel clenched in my mouth. My last purchase was a group 1 for tasting smokes at my local pipe club. Also generally easy to get your money back if you do decide to unload one. If I...

    Dunhill Durbar Information

I was under the impression that C&D Rajah's Court was supposed to be in the same ballpark as Durbar. I like Rajah's Court, but have also not ever had Durbar to compare so no idea how close they really are.

    Different Pipes for Different Blends

My wife sees what I spend on pipes and tobacco unfortunately, but thanks to this forum she understands better now. "See sweetie, the guys on the forum said it is downright shameful not to dedicate a pipe to each tobacco blend I have...and no I can't just choose a few blends and be happy...and...

    Collectible Tobacco Question

My personal rule appears to be very simple. If I have it nobody wants it...if I want it, nobody has it. That is all I need to know about collectible tobacco.

    Pipe type.

I love LOTR and decided to go another direction with a churchwarden. I have a Mark Tinsky pipe I thought would work nicely with a churchwarden stem, so I sent it all to Mark and he made me the additional stem. I like it this way in that I can use that pipe with the original stem or the...
