    Anise/licorice Italian Cigars?

I see a few of you have experience with the dry Italian cigars. I’ve had exactly one regular Parodi. How do you feel about the flavored ones? Specifically the anise flavored ones? I love War Horse and I feel like these could be the cigar equivalent. Am I on the right track? Any specific brands...

End of an Era: John Dengler Closes

Ok that’s great to know that some of the history will carry on. That also makes me doubly happy for Larry that he gets to retire and the family legacy isn’t just gone. Thanks telescopes!

End of an Era: John Dengler Closes

It seemed pretty unclear from the few people I talked to but do you know if it will continue with same name, “menu”, etc. or are the new owners going to switch things up? One thing I always wished they did was offer tins for sale.

End of an Era: John Dengler Closes

If I remember correctly I think Larry told telescopes that he would share some of the formulas with him so he may be able to replicate it. If it makes you feel any better, I made the mistake of not going back to stock up on my favorite blend from there, Country Kitchen. Now I have to make due...

    Show-Off Your Stanwell Pipes Here!

There isn’t. Did Stanwell make pipes with blank engraving plates? I have seen one with initials before but didn’t know if it was common.

    Show-Off Your Stanwell Pipes Here!

I picked up this NOS, Made in Denmark Stanwell at the St. Louis Pipe show for $35. I don’t know anything about it but it sure smokes fine!

    Help with this Stanwell

Hi all, I stole picked up this sweet, unsmoked Stanwell at the St.Louis pipe show over the weekend. It has the engraving badge like a pipe of the year but no engraving. Was that common? I’m assuming it’s pre-2010 because it says Made in Denmark. Anything else you can tell me about it...

New Presbyterian Danish Flake coming soon?

Have you tried Bijou? That got recommended to me a lot but I’ve yet to try it. I wonder if that would fit the bill for you. I have a local B&M that has an oriental blend called Country Kitchen that I really love so I’m on the same mission as you.

    World Cup 2022 ⚽🏆

Bottom of the ball doesn’t mean anything. It’s a sphere. The edge of the ball can easily still be on the line while there is clearly grass visible at the bottom. The very fact that people are arguing over it actually makes it clear that it was the correct call. VAR has to have clear evidence to...

    World Cup 2022 ⚽🏆

I mean you’re wrong though, lol. There is definitely touch, the ball is compressed from the strike. VAR has to have definitive proof to overturn a call, which it obviously didn’t because the ball wasn’t out.
